Troy & Sara Harker

As the 5th generation of the Harker's family farm, Troy and Sara Harker have remained devoted to the values of sustainability through organic farming. Troy and Sara are currently raising three children, on their family farm; Kaydence, Akaya, and Braxtyn. Over the last decade, Troy has successfully expanded the farm's wholesale operation which is now reaching growers and sales across Canada and overseas! Additionally, in 2008, Troy and Sara worked together with Troy's parents, Bruce & Kathy Harker in adding an organic fruit winery and cidery, now known as Rustic Roots Winery & Cidery. In 2016 the couple added a commercial kitchen and customer seating area to their fruit stand and winery location, now known as the Barn Door Bistro. Through the Bistro, daily soups, salads, sandwiches and preserves are prepared and served.

As the objective of sustainability lies in the heart of organic farming, Troy and Sara Harker look forward to creating and maintaining integrated, humane, environmentally and economically sustainable agriculture. According to Troy & Sara:
